Job Title: Junior Architectural Designer (Part-Time)

Chang Design is a residential architecture and design studio based in Los Angeles, dedicated to creating spaces that are personal, expressive, and deeply connected to how people live. Our work blends thoughtful design with craftsmanship and a commitment to the client experience. We are seeking a part-time Junior Architectural Designer to support our studio’s projects and grow in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.

Position Overview

This is a part-time position (approximately 6–8 hours per week) with flexible hours, ideal for a current architecture or design student looking to gain professional experience. You’ll assist in developing design concepts, digital models, and visual presentations while learning about the workflow of custom residential projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models, renderings, and documentation using ArchiCAD and Twimmotion

  • Support the design process through research, drawings, and client deliverables

  • Collaborate with the team and industry professionals on active projects


Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with BIM/CAD software and 3D modelling/rendering, willingness and ability to learn Archicad quickly

  • Strong Mac/Apple literacy (ability to navigate MacOS)

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive work style

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to architectural documentation or construction drawings

  • Ability to community design through loose sketching 

  • Understanding of the basic navigation tools for ArchiCAD
